PEDRO TOLEDO – Spruce and CSA – 1999

1999, Spain.  According to the DelCamp forum, this was a “house brand” for the Dauphin Co. at a time when they were importing guitars from Spain.  Solid spruce soundboard, CSA back and sides surprisingly appear to be solid, 650 mm scale, 52mm nut width, ebony neck reinforcement, lacquer finish, attractive purfling.  A very good spruce sound at this price point.  Bright, not tight, with a decent low end and musical projection.  A good instrument for any guitarist be it a step-up, or a back-up.  In terms of sound per dollar, this one wins.  No discernible fret wear, and a healthy amount of saddle showing above the saddle slot.  String burns behind 1st and 2nd, and some button scratches on the back at the upper bout.  Otherwise, looks great.  Arched top wood frame hardshell case included.
