OMAR ESTRADA – Cedar and Cocobola – 2015

Description

2015, Paracho, Mexico.  Solid cedar lattice braced soundboard, cocobola back and sides, 650 mm scale, 52 mm nut width, armrest, 12 hole tieblock, Gotoh tuners, fret markers V and VII, lacquer finish.  This guitar has the incisive projection that an accomplished luthier can produce with lattice bracing.  More than expected at this price point.  Well balanced with plenty of depth of tone, and on the bright side for cedar.  Weightier than most at 4.25 lbs.  Slim comfortable neck plays easily, and the armrest removes the edge, as well as relieving dampening of the soundboard by the right arm.  Nearly mint with a couple of scarcely noticeable signs of use.
