Manuel Contreras – 1968 Spruce and CSA – 664mm

$9,650.00

Description

1968, Madrid.  Spruce soundboard, solid CSA rosewood back and sides, original Fusteros tuners, 664 scale, 54 mm nut width.  Excellent condition with only light signs of use.  The neck shape and angle are just right, consequently the guitar plays easily.  Beautiful clear spruce sound with the benefits of aging.  This guitar must have been played very little since there is no noticeable wear on the frets and no indication that it has been refretted.   The holes for the tuning rollers were plugged and redrilled to properly align them. The first string tuner is tight but works.  Cracks at the butt end have been expertly repaired where there had been separation from the end block.   A slight crack, about 2 in. long in the back is only evident  due to a little finish separation, and has not been touched up.  There is finish separation on one edge of the back center seam the length of the guitar. This guitar is classic and collectable, signed by the master.  Photos soon.
