USA, 2007.  Gran Suprema model.  Solid cedar soundboard, 7 fan braces, beautifully figured cocobolo back and sides, 656 scale, 52 mm nut width, french polished finish.  This is Jose Oribe’s best, built with 45 years of experience in 2007.  A look at his website describes the meticulous care that is expended on aging the woods and finish.  The stunning cocobolo back and sides are the most exquisite I have seen.  The sound matches the appearance in elegance.  Oribe voices his instruments after construction, and his experience is evident.  This tone is smooth, lush and balanced.  Extended sustain sings beyond the initial attack.  Projection reaches out to listeners from this most musical guitar.  A veritable tone machine.  Mint.
