JOHN DICK – 1999 – Cedar Doubletop and Indian

$5,000.00

Description

1999, USA.  Cedar/Nomex doubletop soundboard, Indian rosewood back and sides, Gotoh tuners, 20th fret, 12 hole tieblock, fret markers at V and VII, triple ebony neck reinforcement.  John Dick was among the first American luthiers to adopt the doubletop method of construction, which he accomplished with immediate success.  This instrument has a lush, warm tone with far more fullness and projection than is to be expected at this price point.  It was initially sold through our shop, and with this sound we are glad to be able to offer it again.  Structurally the action and neck angle are the same as when we first saw it.   Some fingernail and rasgueado marks, but ready to express great music.  Photos coming soon.
