JEFF SIGURDSON – Spruce and Indian – 2019

2019, Canada.  #534. Solid spruce fan braced soundboard, Indian rosewood back and sides,  650 mm scale, 51 mm nut, nut string spacing 42 mm, bridge string spacing 57 mm, compensated nut and saddle, 12 hole tieblock, 20th fret, Gotoh premium tuners, Fret markers on edge of fingerboard at V, VII, IX, XII, XV, French polished finish, radiused fingerboard.  $5,000 guitars are not supposed to sound this good.  Sigurdson knows how to handle spruce in order to gain a lovely full tone while preserving the sparkle and clarity that make it so desirable.  Bell-like and musical with great projection.  Having handled several guitars by this luthier we have seen the quality skyrocket, yet the amount of admission is incredibly reasonable.
