Description

2016, Canada, #494. Solid cedar soundboard, Indian rosewood back and sides, 650 mm scale, 51 mm nut width, slightly radiused fingerboard, high C fret, 12 hole tieblock, compensated nut and saddle, french polished finish, small dot fretmarkers on edgoe of fingerboard at 5, 7, 10, 12; Gotoh premium tuners with ebony buttons. Inspired by the master French luthier Daniel Frederich. This guitar arrived strung with Savarez Cantiga/Alliance strings. The tone is very well graduated from a deeply resonant 6th string bass timbre, that gradually brightens to responsive bright and clear trebles. The polyphonic qualities of the music are enhanced by the clarity and separation that results. Excellent projection and volume, suitable for a hall. This luthier achieved what he was after. Very slight signs of use, a smudge on the headstock from a clamp on tuner.
