HILL GUITAR CO. – Signature Model – Cedar Double Top & Indian – 2007

2007, USA.  Cedar/Nomex/Spruce fan braced soundboard with cedar showing, Indian rosewood back and sides, 650 scale, 51 mm fingerboard, 13 mm raised fingerboard, sound ports adjacent to heel, 19 frets, truss rod, Sloan stippled tuners with ebony buttons, 6 hole tieblock, french polished.  Using both cedar and spruce in the soundboard, Hill has combined the best of both woods.  We have handled many of these guitars.  The sound is most characterized by wood that shows on the outside, and is shaped by the wood on the interior.  In this case, the tone has the full body of cedar with excellent clarity, and pleasant reverberant overtones.  Fan bracing brings the quality of a traditional tone to this contemporary construction. Excellent balance, and the superior projection that is expected from a double top instrument.  One owner and well kept.  Slight signs of use.  The french polished finish is in excellent condition with no dulling.
