GREGORY BYERS – Cedar and Indian – 2014

$10,000.00 $9,500.00

2014, USA. Solid cedar soundboard, lattice braced, Indian rosewood back and sides, 650 mm scale, 52 mm nut width, 20 mm raised fingerboard, high C fret, small dot fret markers at VII and XII, 12 hole tieblock, compensated bridge and nut, V headstock joint, Sloan “stippled” tuners with ebony buttons. Byers continues to refine his instruments. Compared to the previous lattice braced cedar we received in 2013, the tone of this one is smoother yet and rounder in the trebles, with bell-like clarity. The basses have a robust true bass timbre, and overall there is a perfectly graduated balance of tone from string to string. Very even with plenty of projection for any hall. Byers guitars excell not only in sound and ease of playing, but the exquisite craftsmanship makes them works of visual art. This instrument has a unifying wheat motif on the headstock, rosette, tieblock cap, and back centerseam.
